“Seagulls Near And Far” is such a unique piece filled with unexpected color and composition! There is a single seagull in the top of the frame that is closer to the camera, and a row of seagulls along the horizon that are further… yet they all seem like they are on the same plane. The background is filled in with a gradient of color that goes from rich orange to gold to yellow to white to beige to mint green, and slight variants in between. There is a grainy overlay giving this piece a vintage film look. The color palette is reminiscent of the midcentury modern era.
